How much does an AI assistant for a business cost

An AI assistant for a website or a messenger has two kinds of cost: a one-time setup and a monthly bill. Most surprises come from the second one, so it helps to see both before you ask for quotes.

What the setup price covers

  • A brief: which questions customers ask, where they ask them and what should happen after the answer.
  • The knowledge base: prices, services, delivery terms, policies and answers to frequent questions, cleaned up so the assistant can rely on them.
  • Connecting a channel: a chat on the website, a Telegram bot or WhatsApp.
  • Lead handoff: when the assistant should ask for a name and contact and where it sends the lead (CRM, email or a Telegram chat).
  • Testing on real questions from your customers and fixing wrong or vague answers.
  • Training the team that will read the leads and update the knowledge base.

The size of the knowledge base, the number of channels and integrations are what move the price most. One channel and a few dozen pages of content is a small project. Several channels, a booking system and a custom CRM is a different one.

What you pay every month

  • Language model usage. It depends on how many conversations the assistant has and how long they are. For a small business it is usually the smallest line, but it grows with traffic.
  • Hosting of the assistant and the integrations.
  • Support: monitoring, fixing answers, adding new content, monthly reports on questions the assistant could not answer.

Ask any contractor to separate these lines. A single monthly fee that hides model usage makes it hard to see what happens when traffic doubles.

Our prices

The AI Assistant package costs from $1,200. It includes a brief, a knowledge base of up to 50 pages, one channel (website or Telegram), lead handoff to a CRM or Telegram, testing on 30 real questions and team training. Support starts from $150 per month. Model usage and hosting are billed at cost and agreed in the estimate.

What is not included: medical, legal or financial advice, taking payments, and more than two rounds of changes. If you need those, they are priced separately.

How to keep the cost under control

  1. Start with one channel and one task, for example answering frequent questions and collecting leads.
  2. Prepare the content yourself where you can: a price list, a list of services, answers your managers give every day.
  3. Agree on a fixed scope and price before work starts.
  4. Review the monthly report and expand only when the first step pays off.
